THE SHIFT

Punjab is running out of the one input nobody prices.

Water. Paddy is the belt's habit and its debt — pumped from a table that falls every year, on a crop the state has always bought at a fixed price. As that arithmetic breaks, the farmer who was guaranteed a buyer becomes a farmer who needs one.

That is the whole business. When procurement stops being the default, someone has to supply the price signal, the agronomy, and the buyer. We are building that layer village by village — starting with basmati, the crop this belt already sells into a private market, and already sells too cheaply.

Why we exist

JUNE — THE SQUARE GOES IN

A season is decided in the first four weeks.

Variety, transplanting window, water discipline. Our agronomists work the field with you from nursery onwards, in Punjabi, because the premium in October is built in July.

OCTOBER — THE BOARD

Know the rate before you load the trolley.

Every yard in the belt, from the AGMARKNET daily feed, in ₹ per quintal. Free, no login, no app.

Indicative rates reported by market committees — the price you are paid is fixed at the yard, on the day, on your grain.

Full board, ten yards, with price trends

OCTOBER — THE GRAIN IS PROVEN, NOT PROMISED

Exporters pay for what they can verify.

Residue-compliant paddy grown on a documented spray schedule, tested at the buyer's cost, sold at a premium over the reference mandi rate. Your record-keeping is your price.
